“Leaving Berlin – This Can Only Happen Once” is a book project that her granddaughter is currently working on. Ursula hand-wrote her story (complete with pictures) of growing up in Berlin and leaving it behind for California, shortly before the Berlin Wall rose up. I miss Ursula so much, and think of her often. I love coming to the website to remember her with pictures, all the familiar pictures that were hanging on the walls of her studio and home in Three Rivers.
You have created a wonderful tribute to your Oma. Thank you for sharing her life with the people her knew and cared about her.
Looking forward to “Oma’s book”. I have fond memories of her when she was writing it for you and your sister. It will be fun to see it here on the website.
